T-Ball
Jonny is a social kid and has some people that he talks to every Sunday before Sacrament Meeting begins. One of those couples gave Jonny a baseball and mitt for Christmas so we got Jonny signed up for t-ball this spring. He thinks it is great and it's so funny to watch squirrely 5- and 6-year-olds playing ball! Jonny is pretty good at hitting the ball and usually gets it the first time.
Birthday #6
Jonny's birthday started out with raspberry pancakes with raspberry syrup and in the shape of a star.
Then I met him in his classroom to share mini cupcakes with his teacher and kindergarten class. It was doubly exciting because Jonny got to wear his special birthday hat and the rest of the kids were wearing their Easter bunny hats!
Later that evening, all of Jonny's cousins, grandparents, and aunts and uncles came over for dinner, cake & ice cream and presents! Jonny loves Star Wars so I put some Star Wars Hot Wheels cars on his cake.

Baby Kittens
Our mama cat finally had her kittens a couple of weeks ago. She chose to have the kittens in the little dog house by our back step (poor Mac-dog can't go in his own house anymore!). That means the kittens are nice and close for Jonny to check on. You can find him in front of the doghouse, just looking in and talking to the babies since we wouldn't let him take them out when they were tiny! He visits them several times a day and has to tell them good-bye before he goes to school and good night! These kittens should be nice and tame. He keeps changing their names but usually at least one is called Fluffy Jr.!
Dressed For Church
When Jonny came out dressed for church in a crazy shirt and tie combo, I got out my camera to snap a photo. What followed was a whole series of crazy faces! After I would take one photo, he would instantly change to another crazy pose. I just kept snapping and he kept coming up with crazy ideas. It only took about ten photos before he gave me a decent smile! Crazy kid!

Valentine's Day
Jonny came home from school on Valentine's Day, wearing his "Love Bug" hat, and a box full of cards and treats. We finished up the day with a heart pizza from Papa Murphy's and some heart-shaped sugar cookies.
Gingerbread Houses
Chris and Jonny worked on our annual gingerbread houses on Christmas Eve. We decided to try mini houses this year, with the hope that they would hold together better than big ones. We found out that they fall down, too! But we got some put together, kept them for a few days, and then Jonny even munched on one!
A Christmas Surprise!
After Christmas, we took our tree outside and found a surprise! There had been a bird nest in our tree all along and we hadn't seen it! We had decorated our tree and undecorated our tree, but it wasn't until we were carrying the tree out that we saw it! It gave us a good laugh!
Christmas 2015
Jonny LOVED this package that he got in the mail! He got it out every day to hold it and look at the picture!
Jonny the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Jonny came home from kindergarten on the last day of school before Christmas vacation, wearing this cute reindeer hat.
He was very excited about the mini Cars coloring book that he was given by his school bus driver and the small package from his teacher.
New Foster Brother
This is Tristin, Jonny's newest foster brother. He came to live with us at the beginning of December and will probably be with us until somewhere around the middle of March. He'll be two years old in March. He thinks Jonny is the greatest thing ever and follows him all around. The funniest thing is that he calls Jonny "Jaw-joo."
