Sippy Cup

Jonathan has been so interested in drinking from our cups that we got out his sippy cup. We have only put water in it so far but Jonathan is always so excited to see it that he grabs right onto it.

Crazy Nap Hair

Jonathan's hair is long enough now that he often wakes up with some crazy hair!

A Tooth!

Jonathan's first tooth finally broke through this week. It's the bottom front tooth on the left. You can't really see it too well yet, so I haven't been able to get a picture of it. It sure is sharp though! I had to fish a little piece of paper out of Jonathan's mouth the other day and I could definitely feel that sharp little tooth on my finger!

Crawling

Jonathan started to crawl this week! He's been working on it for a while, but now he's got it all figured out. He goes everywhere--even up and over the single step between our kitchen and living room. Between crawling and being able to pull himself up, we've had to baby-proof things a little higher!

Pulling Himself Up

Jonathan has just started pulling himself up things this past week. This series of photos shows Jonathan pulling himself up the back of the walker. He even gets brave enough to let go with one hand. He wants to walk so badly! I'm not sure what I think about it. I love all the new things he learns to do, but he's growing up too fast!

Still Scooting

Jonathan isn't crawling yet, but that doesn't mean that he can't get around. When he wants to get somewhere or get something that he shouldn't have, he can really move. In this case, it was a pile of my school papers that he was after!

Nine Months Old

Jonathan is nine months old! Hard to believe, huh? He is so much fun! He is still scooting around, but he spends a lot of time on his hands and knees. He knows that he should be able to move around, but hasn't quite figured it out yet. He's also working on pulling himself up (as you can see in the bottom picture). He still loves to laugh and smile. He eats quite a variety of fruits and vegetables and also loves to eat Cheerios and Ritz crackers. He's starting to babble and Chris just swears that he is saying "dadada"!
