Jonathan has discovered that he loves strawberries! We have a little strawberry patch in front of our house and Jonathan loves to follow us out to the patch to "help" us. The only problem is that he usually "helps" by eating the berries. We'll pull off the green part and he will shove the whole berry in his mouth. By the time we're done, there might be a few berries left for Chris and me! 
We attended a family reunion this past weekend for my dad's side of the family. We met at Massacre Rocks State Park in Idaho. We had a lot of fun.
We followed a trail out to where you can see the ruts from the Oregon Trail. Jonathan rode in the stroller most of the way. Cousin Mary joined him when her legs got too tired from all that walking.
One of Jonathan's favorite things to do was play in the dirt. He also liked to eat the dirt and rocks!
We took some bubbles with us and that entertained the cousins for a while. Jonathan watched them chase the bubbles for a while and then joined right in.
Jonathan didn't like the tent too much the first night. I had planned to have Jonathan sleep in a little bed next to our air mattress, so I got him to sleep and then laid him down. He was instantly awake and wouldn't have anything to do with his bed. He ended up sleeping on the edge of the mattress next to me. None of us slept very well that night but the second night was much better!
This is how Jonthan helps Chris study for tests and write papers. He's a big help, isn't he? 
Since Jonathan loves to go outside, we have to play in the yard at least a couple of times a day. The bright colors of the flowers in my flower beds often attract Jonathan so we sometimes spend time smelling the flowers. This is Jonathan's "sniffing flowers" face. He will stand by the flowers with me and make the sniffing sound with great gusto!
