We gave Jonathan his first solid food on Monday: rice cereal mixed with formula. It went better than I expected. I thought that we would have more cereal ON Jonathan than IN him, but he actually ate the cereal. He would often get his fingers in his mouth and suck on them, which would help him swallow the cereal. Jonathan even reached for the spoon if I didn't feed him fast enough!
Jonathan has learned to play peek-a-boo! He loves to grab his burp cloth and put it over his eyes. Then he will wiggle and wiggle until we pull it off and laugh at him!
Jonathan with Grandma Vicki and cousins Odin & Garrett. Don't those matching vests look cute?
Jonathan with Grandma Law. He just loves sucking on his fingers these days!
Jonathan went to his first wedding last weekend--Aunt Steph's. My mom did some of the sewing for the wedding so she made this cute little vest for Jonathan to wear so that he would match his cousins!
Jonathan turned 5 months old on Thursday! Can you believe that? Getting our monthly photo with the bunny was quite a challenge this month! As you can see, Jonathan likes to eat everything now and this bunny was a temptation he couldn't resist!
Some days, it seems like Jonathan is trying so hard to talk! Of course he can't yet, so he has to settle with cooing, laughing, and coughing. He sometimes adds some squeals, but one of the sounds Jonathan makes really well is growling!
